Contracts Manager - New Zealand/Australia (Roads experience REQUIRED)

ConsultANZ is partnering with a leading civil contractor known for delivering large-scale transport and infrastructure projects across New Zealand. With a strong pipeline of upcoming roading projects, they are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to play a key role in the successful delivery of works across multiple locations.

• Manage all contractual and commercial aspects of major roading projects

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting

• Lead project teams and subcontractors to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery

• Engage with clients, consultants, and local authorities throughout the project lifecycle

• Programme planning, scheduling, and risk management

• Ensure compliance with NZS 3910 and relevant industry standards

• Uphold health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or a related discipline)

• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or in a similar role on large-scale roading or infrastructure projects

• Strong knowledge of NZS 3910

• Strong commercial and contractual management skills

• Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation abilities

• Ability to lead teams and collaborate with clients and partners

• Experience with earthworks, pavement construction, and road alignment projects is highly desirable
