Position Details

Job Title: Finance Officer

Grade: G

Responsible To: Principal Accountant

Job Summary

The Finance Officer is responsible for providing financial management support, including budgeting, accounting, expenditure control, and preparation of financial reports for the Ministry.

Key Duties

• Assist in preparation and implementation of budgets.
• Monitor expenditure and ensure compliance with financial procedures.
• Process financial transactions and maintain accounting records.
• Prepare financial reports and statements.
• Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Government financial regulations.
• Provide financial advice to departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Experience

• Relevant experience in financial management or accounting.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
• Budget management skills.
• Analytical and numerical skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
