Sales Representative – Johannesburg

Manufacturing / FMCG (Bakery & Catering Solutions)

Full-time | On-site

Our client, a leading supplier of premium baking and catering equipment and solutions, is seeking a driven Sales Representative to manage and grow a defined territory. This role focuses on building strong client relationships, driving revenue, and identifying new business opportunities within the food production and hospitality sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and growing a portfolio of existing clients through regular engagement and service delivery
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities within the assigned territory
  • Presenting and selling bakery and catering solutions to meet client needs
  • Planning and executing daily sales activities, including client visits and prospecting
  • Achieving monthly and annual sales targets in line with business objectives
  • Preparing and delivering tailored product presentations and demonstrations
  • Coordinating orders, deliveries, and after-sales support with internal teams
  • Resolving client queries and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and new opportunities
  • Providing regular feedback and sales reports to management

Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Relevant sales or marketing qualification advantageous
  • Proven experience in a sales or client-facing role, preferably within FMCG, manufacturing, or equipment supply
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage a sales territory independently and meet targets
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Computer literacy (MS Office; ERP systems advantageous)
  • Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region
