Auto Electrician - Australia

ConsultANZ is seeking a qualified Automotive Electrician for a provider of fire protection and suppression systems across mining, commercial, residential, and industrial sectors in Western Australia. In this role, you will work across workshop, site, and field environments.

• Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic faults using test equipment
• Install, maintain, and repair 12V and 24V systems on vehicles and heavy equipment
• Carry out electrical fit-outs, upgrades, and maintenance on mining and industrial machinery
• Repair or replace faulty components such as wiring, alternators, starters, switches, and fuses
• Install electrical and electronic systems, including control and monitoring devices
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical manuals
• Perform testing, servicing, and preventative maintenance
• Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
• Complete job reports and communicate with the team as required

• Trade qualification (Certificate III in Auto Electrical Technology or equivalent)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Experience with heavy vehicles, mining, or industrial equipment
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Ability to read electrical schematics
• Safety-focused with strong attention to detail
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Current driver’s licence
