O&M Manager - Wind Energy

Our client is looking for a motivated and experienced O&M Manager to lead the operational and maintenance activities of a utility-scale wind energy project. This role is suited to a hands-on leader who is passionate about renewable energy, operational excellence, and maintaining the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance.

Requirements

• BTech qualification, Qualified Electrician with a valid 3-Phase Wireman's Licence, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years' maintenance experience within electrical and/or mechanical environments.
• Previous experience on utility-scale renewable energy projects greater than 50MW, preferably wind farms.
• Strong understanding of HV safety procedures, SCADA systems, and power plant operations.
• Proven ability to manage contractors and maintenance programmes effectively.
• Knowledge of environmental compliance and occupational health and safety legislation.
• Willing and able to travel, work overtime when required, and perform duties in challenging site conditions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all operational and maintenance activities for the wind energy facility.
• Lead contractor performance management and ensure delivery against contractual obligations.
• Promote a strong safety culture through the implementation of HSE policies and legal compliance.
• Analyse plant performance, identify improvement opportunities, and reduce downtime.
• Coordinate maintenance planning, inspections, fault investigations, and repair activities.
• Supervise high-voltage operational activities and ensure equipment integrity.
• Review operational data, maintenance reports, and performance trends.
• Support warranty management, project close-out activities, and plant optimisation programmes.
• Ensure facilities, substations, and infrastructure are maintained to the required standards.
