MINE OVERSEER

We are seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and safety-driven Mine Overseer to join our Gold Division in the Klerksdorp area. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective mining operations while maintaining compliance with all statutory and company requirements.

Advantageous

- Previous gold mining experience.

- Experience in trackless and/or conventional mining operations.

- Experience in contractor management and labour relations.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure compliance with all legal, safety, and company standards.

- Lead and supervise mining teams to achieve production targets.

- Promote a strong safety culture and drive continuous improvement.

- Manage production planning and daily operational performance.

- Conduct workplace inspections and ensure hazards are identified and addressed.

- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.

- Develop, mentor, and manage supervisory personnel.

- Ensure efficient utilisation of labour, equipment, and resources.

- Maintain accurate operational records and reports.

Grade 12 (Matric).

- Valid Blasting Certificate.

- Mine Overseer Certificate of Competency.

- Minimum of five (5) years' experience appointed as a Mine Overseer.

- Valid driver's licence.

- Medically fit for employment in the mining industry.

- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).

- Excellent leadership, planning, communication, and people management skills.

- Sound knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act and other relevant mining legislation.

- Strong understanding of production, safety, quality, and cost management.
