Senior Roads Contract Engineer

Our client has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Senior Roads Contract Engineer to play a pivotal role in the successful execution of complex transportation infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for both project leadership and contract engineering functions across large-scale road developments for public sector clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (NQF 8 or above)
• ECSA registration as a Professional Engineer (PrEng/PrTech) is mandatory.
• At least 10 years' post-registration professional experience.
• Extensive experience delivering SANRAL, provincial and municipal road projects.
• Proven success in road rehabilitation, upgrading, improvements and periodic maintenance projects.
• Demonstrated experience in project management, contract administration and construction supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage road infrastructure projects from inception through construction and final completion.
• Serve as Project Leader, ensuring successful delivery in line with client expectations.
• Fulfil Contract Engineer and Engineer's Representative responsibilities under recognised contract conditions.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams throughout design and construction.
• Prepare project reports and contractual documentation.
• Support and mentor junior engineering professionals.
