Senior Site Agent / Contracts Manager - Roads

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Site Agent / Contracts Manager to lead the successful delivery of major roads projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned construction professional with extensive road construction experience, strong leadership capabilities, and professional registration to oversee site operations and drive project excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage large-scale roads construction projects from mobilisation through to completion.
• Oversee site operations, construction programmes, budgets, quality, and resource allocation.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and site personnel.
• Administer construction contracts and monitor project commercial performance.
• Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality management requirements.
• Prepare project reports, forecasts, and progress updates for senior management.

Minimum Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Professional registration with ECSA or SACPCMP is essential.
• Minimum of 15 years' experience in roads construction.
• Proven experience managing major roads infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership, commercial, and contract management skills.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to be site-based in the Free State for approximately 18 months, with future deployment to projects across South Africa.
