Registered Nurse- Theatre

As the leading medical recruitment agency in South Africa, our client has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse – Theatre to be based in Cape Town South Africa.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with valid SANC registration

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a surgical/theatre role in private healthcare

• Theatre technique or operating room post-basic qualification (advantageous)

• Minimum 3 year experience in private hospitals

• Computer literate (Microsoft Office)

  Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing care across pre-, intra- and postoperative stages

• Maintain aseptic techniques and infection control measures

• Monitor patient condition and vital signs throughout procedures

• Manage surgical instruments and assist with theatre setup

• Supervise and support enrolled nurses and healthcare assistants

• Participate in clinical audits and continuous quality improvement

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical and stock records

• Support training and mentorship of junior team members
