Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Solutions Architect to join their enterprise architecture team on a 12-month renewable contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and governing enterprise-wide technology solutions that align with business strategy, architectural standards, and regulatory requirements.

This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in enterprise IT environments, solution architecture, cloud technologies, systems integration, and modern software development practices.

• Contract Duration: 12 Months (Renewable)
• Location: Centurion, Gauteng

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end enterprise technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Develop and maintain solution architecture standards, principles, and governance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams, and technical specialists to define solution roadmaps.
• Provide architectural guidance throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Design scalable, secure, and resilient application and infrastructure architectures.
• Lead architecture reviews and ensure compliance with enterprise standards and best practices.
• Drive cloud adoption strategies across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Oversee systems integration using APIs, messaging technologies, and microservices.
• Support DevOps initiatives and continuous delivery practices.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions.
• Ensure solutions comply with security, governance, and regulatory requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant postgraduate qualification will be advantageous.

Experience

• Minimum 15 years' experience in Enterprise IT.
• Extensive experience in Solution Architecture and Enterprise Architecture.
• Proven experience working within complex, highly regulated enterprise environments.
• Strong background in application development and systems integration.
• Extensive experience with cloud architecture and cloud migration initiatives.
• Experience implementing DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience leading architecture governance and solution design activities.
