SENIOR ICT SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

Gauteng | Permanent

A technology-driven international organisation is seeking a highly skilled Senior ICT Systems Administrator to join its ICT team. This role is suited to a hands-on infrastructure specialist with strong expertise across Microsoft cloud technologies, cybersecurity, infrastructure, networking and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Defender and Purview environments.
  • Administer identities, permissions, access controls and authentication services.
  • Maintain server, endpoint and cloud platforms while driving infrastructure improvements.
  • Manage backup, disaster recovery and business continuity processes.
  • Monitor security controls, investigate incidents and address vulnerabilities.
  • Support networking, connectivity and security technologies.
  • Provide senior-level technical support and escalation assistance.
  • Develop technical documentation, policies and operational standards.

Education, Certifications & Technical Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Microsoft 365 Administrator (MS-102).
  • Endpoint Administrator (MD-102).
  • Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect (SC-100).
  • Microsoft Security Operations Analyst (SC-200).
  • Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator (SC-300).
  • Microsoft Information Protection Administrator (SC-400).
  • Microsoft 365 Security Administration (MS-500).
  • Azure Security Technologies (AZ-500).
  • Strong experience in Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Purview, Identity & Access Management and Endpoint Security.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols, security technologies, compliance frameworks, automation and cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with Windows, macOS and Linux environments as well as PowerShell, Bash, SQL or Python scripting.
