We’re Hiring: Division Manager – Short-Term / Payday Loans

Based in Port Elizabeth, South Africa

Our company, a trusted name in providing insurance solutions to South Africa’s lower LSM market, is diversifying into short-term/payday loans. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Division Manager to lead the start-up and growth phase of this new business line.

About the Role

As Division Manager, you will take full responsibility for establishing, managing, and scaling our new short-term lending division. This includes developing strategy, overseeing operations, ensuring compliance, building the right team and driving sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the start-up and roll-out of the short-term/payday loan division.
• Develop and implement business strategies, processes and policies.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements (e.g., NCR, NCA).
• Recruit, train and manage staff and resources.
• Build and manage relationships with stakeholders, including clients, partners and regulators.
• Monitor performance, manage risk and ensure profitability of the division.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in the short-term/payday lending industry.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, compliance and operational requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to manage start-up and growth phases of a financial services business.
• Leadership and people management experience.
• Based in Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha), South Africa.
