Our client is a well-established manufacturing company with a strong focus on product quality, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement. They are committed to enhancing their production capabilities and maintaining a competitive edge through innovation and practical engineering solutions.

They are seeking a highly experienced Senior Product & Process Engineer to take full ownership of the Flat Wire product range. This role is suited to a hands-on engineer with a strong track record in driving process improvements, reducing costs, and implementing effective engineering solutions within a production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Taking full engineering ownership of the Flat Wire product range
  • Driving reduction in Cost of Sales (COS) through practical engineering improvements
  • Improving manufacturing processes, productivity, and product yield
  • Identifying and implementing alternative raw materials and manufacturing methods
  • Collaborating with Design & Automation teams to enhance machinery and introduce new technologies
  • Working closely with Quality to ensure consistent product compliance with customer requirements
  • Partnering with Production to improve throughput, efficiency, and process stability
  • Leading capacity expansion and continuous improvement projects
  • Analysing production data to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions
  • Developing and maintaining process specifications, engineering standards, and manufacturing documentation

Requirements

  • BEng Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience in process engineering and continuous improvement
  • Strong track record in reducing costs and improving product profitability
  • Experience leading engineering projects from concept through to implementation
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, machinery, and production systems
  • Hands-on approach with strong problem-solving abilities
