Key Responsibilities

• Operate stitching machines and related equipment safely and efficiently
• Stitch leather and materials according to production requirements
• Ensure all stitching meets quality and production standards
• Inspect stitched components for defects and quality concerns
• Handle materials carefully to minimise damage and wastage
• Report machine faults, material defects, and safety concerns
• Maintain housekeeping and safety standards within the department

Skills and Requirements

• Ability to operate stitching machinery
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to follow instructions, patterns, and measurements
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Ability to work effectively within a team
• Reliable, trustworthy, and proactive work ethic

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 advantageous
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Previous stitching, sewing machinist experience advantageous
• Basic understanding of stitching machine operation and workplace safety
