About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled

Draughtsman to join a well-established sheet metal manufacturing business based in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate drawings, assisting with project execution, and ensuring designs are converted into production-ready files. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with strong CAD skills and knowledge of sheet metal processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret client drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings for sheet metal manufacturing.
  • Convert drawings into CAD packages and prepare cutting files for production.
  • Assist with internal audits and maintain compliance with company standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams on design requirements and quality checks.
  • Follow-up on completed drawings and ensure accuracy of final products.
  • Compile data packages and maintain technical documentation.
  • Use measuring tools to verify components and identify materials.
  • Support management with ad hoc tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in Draughting or Mechanical/Design field.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes (laser cutting, bending, forming, machining).
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.
