Construction Foreman

Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to oversee the successful delivery of construction projects across the Western Cape. This role is ideal for a hands-on construction professional with strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of site operations, and a commitment to quality, safety, and project excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction site activities from site establishment to project completion
• Manage on-site personnel, subcontractors, and service providers
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements
• Coordinate the procurement and delivery of materials, plant, and equipment
• Monitor project progress to ensure deadlines and milestones are achieved
• Manage labour, material, and equipment costs within project budgets
• Read and interpret construction and engineering drawings
• Maintain quality standards and ensure high-quality project finishes

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• National Technical Certificate/Diploma in Construction or a relevant trade qualification
• Trade Certificate or Diploma in Bricklaying, Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, or a related discipline will be advantageous
• 5–8 years' experience in a construction supervisory role
• Proven experience managing site teams and subcontractors
• Strong understanding of construction Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements
• Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
• Ability to manage costs and understand project budgets and procurement processes
• Strong attention to detail and ability to read technical drawings
• Excellent finishing experience will be advantageous
