BI Developer

Our client is seeking a skilled BI Developer to join a dynamic technology environment in Johannesburg. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a data-focused professional who is passionate about transforming complex data into meaningful business insights while developing scalable and high-performing BI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Business Intelligence solutions and reporting tools
• Build and optimize data models, ETL processes, and data pipelines
• Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI and Qlik Sense
• Gather and analyse business requirements to deliver effective BI solutions
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality across reporting environments
• Support deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of BI platforms
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions
• Monitor and enhance system performance, scalability, and usability

Requirements

• Proven experience as a BI Developer or in a similar role
• Strong experience with Microsoft Power BI and Qlik Sense
• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, SQL, Python, Spark, and Synapse technologies
• Experience with ETL development, data modelling, and data warehousing concepts
• Strong understanding of database management and data structures
• Experience delivering BI solutions across the full development lifecycle
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimise BI environments

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
• Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate certification advantageous
• Additional advanced certifications beneficial
