Data Platform Product Owner

We are looking for a Data Platform Product Owner to lead the vision, strategy, and delivery of our client’s enterprise data platform - powering analytics, AI, and data-driven decision-making across the business.

This is a high-impact role where you will shape a scalable, secure, and cost-efficient platform while enabling teams to unlock real value from data.

What you will do

  • Own the data platform roadmap, vision, and backlog
  • Design and evolve modern data architectures (lakehouse, warehouse, streaming)
  • Ensure reliability, scalability, performance, and cost optimisation
  • Embed data governance, security, and compliance by design
  • Partner with engineering, analytics, and business teams to deliver high-value platform capabilities
  • Drive self-service data access and platform adoption
  • Manage vendors, budgets, and platform costs (FinOps)
  • Act as the primary advisor to stakeholders on data platform strategy and value

What you will bring

  • 7+ years’ experience in data, platform, or engineering roles
  • Proven experience owning or leading a data platform or similar product
  • Strong understanding of cloud data ecosystems (Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks)
  • Experience working with analytics, AI, and data teams
  • Solid product management skills (roadmaps, prioritisation, value-driven delivery)
  • Ability to operate strategically and technically

Nice to have

  • Cloud or data platform certifications
  • Experience with data governance, DevOps, and platform engineering practices
