Maintenance Supervisor vacancy in Johannesburg South. Minimum 8 years maintenance experience in a plastics/injection moulding environment, of which at least 3 years in a supervisory or senior technician/team leader role. Matric + Trade Test (Fitter & Turner, Millwright, or Electrician) or relevant Engineering qualification required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Matric + Trade Test (Fitter & Turner, Millwright, or Electrician) or relevant Engineering qualification (NQF L4/L5 minimum)
• Minimum 8 years maintenance experience in a plastics / injection moulding environment, of which at least 3 years in a supervisory or senior technician / team leader role
• Hands-on maintenance on injection moulding machines 50–450 t (Arburg, Engel, Haitian, Demag or equivalent) – hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Practical knowledge of cold-runner and hot-runner mould maintenance, mould PM procedures, ejector systems, slides, lifters, and gate maintenance; cavity polishing and repair
• Computer literate – maintenance records, PPM scheduling, spare parts requisitions; proficient in MS Office (Excel for KPI and downtime tracking)
• Valid Code 08 driver’s licence; forklift / overhead crane licence

Responsibilities

• PPM schedule compliance
• Machine availability
• Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) – IM machines
• Repeat breakdown rate (same fault within 30 days)
• Mould PM compliance
• Spare parts availability (critical components)
• SYSPRO maintenance records completeness
• Safety incidents (LTI / near-miss reporting)
• LOTO compliance (audit findings)
