Clinical Nurse Specialist (ICU)

Our client is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist (ICU) to join a high-performing Critical Care team in Johannesburg. This role is suited to a confident nursing professional with strong leadership capabilities, extensive ICU experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care to critically ill patients within the ICU
• Lead and coordinate nursing activities during allocated shifts
• Support and mentor nursing staff to maintain clinical excellence
• Ensure adherence to critical care protocols, quality standards, and patient safety initiatives
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes
• Assist with staff development, training, and continuous quality improvement activities

Requirements

• Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery
• Post Basic qualification in Critical Care Nursing
• Registered with SANC
• Minimum 5 years’ ICU experience
• Proven shift-leading experience
• Strong leadership, communication, and clinical decision-making skills
