Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Theatre Trained Registered Nurse to join a busy surgical unit in Pietermaritzburg. This role is ideal for a dedicated nursing professional with broad theatre exposure and a commitment to delivering exceptional perioperative patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialised nursing care within the Operating Theatre environment
- Assist with patient preparation and support throughout surgical procedures
- Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols
- Scrub and circulate across various surgical disciplines as required
- Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to clinical standards
Requirements
- Registered with SANC
- Degree or Diploma in Nursing
- Post Basic qualification in Theatre Nursing
- Experience working across multiple theatre disciplines
- Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
